Open House at Ballston Spa Elementary

 August 31st Lilyanah had her open house at school.  She picked her FAVORITE new outfit to wear for the occasion.  It's her favorite because it reminds her of GI Joe.  She feels like Scarlett when she wears it and asks to wear it all the time!  Ethne decided what she is wearing was her GI Joe outfit because the pants are the camo green color.  : )  Such silly girls!  I bet you can't guess what they want to be for Halloween. . . .  Such a mystery.

 Lilyanah found her hook where she puts her backpack, which is oddly out in the hallway outside of her class.

And here she is about to go explore the room she'll be spending most of her days in this school year.

Westyn thought he should have a picture too & pretended his new classroom was the supply closet. 

My apologies to Mrs. Parks for posting a "less than attractive" picture, it was the only one I took. 

Lilyanah quickly discovered the kitchen area which is one of her favorite stations when they get to play inside.  "Would you like some cake?  I made it myself, oh & have a yummy hamburger with it!"  This is a totally silly picture of me when I was significanly younger, gotta love the belly stuck on the counter!  But for some reason the face she was making reminded me of this pic, both makin' cakes I guess!  : )

After discovering all there was to find inside the kids and one parent got to ride on the bus to help get them comfortable.  That's our neighbor Chris & Tyler in front of Will & Lilyanah.

Ethne wished she was going on the bus too.  All too soon sweetheart, that will be you.

 The kids broke in the jungle gym for Lilyanah, they had a blast running in circles, but the time Will & Lilyanah got back (an HOUR later!!!) even they had had enough & were ready to leave.

It was a very emotional day for me, but Lilyanah LOVED it.  Of course in the end it was Ethne who cried on the way back to the car, grieving her missed opportunity to ride the bus.  : )
